Vinay Rajani Favors Buy-On-Dips in Nifty, Bets on HAL and Karnataka Bank

Vinay Rajani Advocates Buy-On-Dips Strategy for Nifty, Highlights HAL and Karnataka Bank as Key Picks

With a bullish outlook for the Nifty index, Vinay Rajani identifies strategic buying opportunities in Hindustan Aeronautics and Karnataka Bank.

Vinay Rajani, a senior technical and derivative analyst at HDFC Securities, has provided insights into the current market dynamics, suggesting a favorable buy-on-dips strategy for investors in the Nifty index. His analysis highlights specific stocks that are poised for growth.

Nifty’s Bullish Reversal Signals Opportunity

Rajani notes that the Nifty index has confirmed a bullish reversal by establishing a higher top and higher bottom on a closing basis. This technical pattern suggests a positive shift in market sentiment, particularly in the short-term timeframe. However, the index is currently encountering significant resistance in the 23,100–23,150 range. A decisive breakout above this level could further solidify the bullish structure, attracting more buying interest.

On the downside, Rajani highlights that support has shifted higher to 22,580, with an additional level at 22,300. Maintaining these support levels is crucial for the bullish outlook. Should the index break below 22,300, it may trigger caution among investors, indicating a potential shift in market dynamics.

Hindustan Aeronautics: A Strong Buy

Rajani recommends Hindustan Aeronautics as a compelling buy, with a current market price (CMP) of ₹4,869. He sets a stop loss at ₹4,600 and a target price of ₹5,155. The stock has demonstrated a consistent bullish trend, forming higher tops and bottoms on its daily chart. Furthermore, it is trading above all key moving averages, indicating strong upward momentum.

The price increase has been accompanied by a rise in trading volumes, reinforcing the bullish sentiment. Technical indicators and oscillators have also turned positive on the short-term charts, suggesting that the stock has the potential to reach its target price in the near term.

Karnataka Bank: Approaching New Heights

Karnataka Bank is another stock Rajani is optimistic about, currently priced at ₹342.25. He suggests a stop loss at ₹325 and a target of ₹364. The stock is on the verge of reaching fresh all-time highs, with a breakout anticipated above ₹346, which would confirm a bullish trend following a period of consolidation.

Similar to Hindustan Aeronautics, Karnataka Bank is positioned above all key moving averages, and its technical indicators have turned bullish on the daily charts. This positions the stock favorably for potential gains, making it an attractive option for investors looking to capitalize on upward momentum.
