NPS Calculator

FinBrooks NPS Calculator helps you estimate your National Pension System retirement corpus based on your current age, monthly contribution, expected return and retirement age.

What is NPS?

The National Pension System is a long-term retirement investment framework designed to help build a corpus for retirement. Contributions are invested according to the selected NPS investment options and applicable rules.

How does the NPS Calculator work?

The calculator projects the future value of regular monthly contributions using the expected annual return entered by the user. The resulting projected corpus is then used to illustrate the potential lump-sum and annuity portions.

What is the annuity portion in NPS?

The calculator uses a 40% annuity assumption for this illustration. The remaining 60% is shown as the indicative lump-sum portion. Actual applicable withdrawal and annuity rules should be checked at the time of retirement.

How is monthly NPS pension estimated?

The estimated pension is calculated by applying the assumed annuity rate to the amount allocated towards the annuity and dividing the resulting annual income by 12.

Disclaimer: This calculator provides an indicative projection for educational purposes only. Actual NPS returns, corpus, withdrawal eligibility, annuity allocation, pension and tax treatment may differ depending on applicable NPS rules, investment performance, asset allocation, annuity rates and conditions prevailing at retirement.
