Kinetic Engineering Bolsters Electric Mobility Ambitions with ₹57 Crore Investment
The latest funding underscores Kinetic Engineering’s commitment to expanding its electric two-wheeler segment amid rising consumer interest.
Strategic Investment in Electric Mobility
The decision to channel a substantial portion of the investment into the electric two-wheeler segment reflects Kinetic Engineering’s strategic pivot towards electric mobility. With the Indian government pushing for increased adoption of electric vehicles (EVs), Kinetic is positioning itself to capitalize on this trend. The company aims to achieve a top-10 position among India’s EV brands, with projections indicating that EV penetration in the two-wheeler market could reach 26% by FY 2030.
Strengthening Distribution Network
Kinetic Engineering’s growth strategy is further supported by its expanding distribution network. The company has signed Letters of Intent (LOIs) with over 150 dealers across India, with more than 60 already operational. This robust network, backed by comprehensive 3S (Sales, Service, and Spares) facilities, is crucial for enhancing customer reach and service capabilities, thereby fostering consumer confidence in Kinetic’s offerings.
Promoter Confidence and Future Outlook
The increased promoter shareholding from 50% to 69.27% over the last four years is a testament to the confidence that the promoters have in Kinetic Engineering’s growth potential. Ajinkya Firodia, Vice Chairman & Managing Director, highlighted the healthy pipeline of new orders in the auto-components business, which is expected to support growth and improve EBITDA margins to around 12%. This optimistic outlook is further bolstered by the positive market response to the Kinetic DX electric scooter, which has been well-received since its relaunch.
