Three Chart Setups Put Tanla, Bharti Hexacom and HBL in Focus
Jatin Gedia’s technical calls hinge on breakouts, support levels and momentum signals, with clear price levels defining where each setup could weaken.
Technical analyst Jatin Gedia has identified Tanla Platforms, Bharti Hexacom and HBL Engineering as short-term buy ideas, each with a stated stop-loss and target. His stock calls come against a market backdrop in which the Nifty is consolidating and Bank Nifty is testing resistance.
Index levels frame the short-term view
Gedia says the Nifty has been moving within a 22,350–22,850 range for five trading sessions. Wednesday’s small-bodied bullish candle, with a long lower shadow, points to buying interest around 22,500–22,450. Daily and hourly momentum indicators have also registered positive crossovers, supporting the possibility of a continued pullback over the next few sessions.
The next hurdle, according to the analyst, is 22,870–22,900. A move through that band would strengthen the near-term recovery case; a fall below 22,500 would undermine it and leave 22,200–22,180 as the next area to watch. Bank Nifty closed at 54,267, up more than 0.5%, and showed positive divergence on its daily chart. It faces resistance at 54,650–54,700, while a breach below 53,700 would weaken the bullish view.
Tanla Platforms: breakout above a narrow range
Tanla had consolidated between ₹550 and ₹580 for eight trading sessions before breaking above the range. Gedia notes that the move came with above-average volume, which he sees as evidence of broader participation, and that the daily momentum indicator has turned positive. Together, these signals underpin his expectation of a positive bias over the next few sessions.
The recommendation is to buy at a stated current market price of ₹597.60, with a stop-loss of ₹581 and a target of ₹645. The stop-loss is a key part of the trade: if the price retreats to that level, the breakout thesis would need to be reassessed rather than treated as assured upside.
Bharti Hexacom: continuation after consolidation
Bharti Hexacom has been making higher highs and higher lows, a pattern Gedia identifies as an uptrend. After six sessions of consolidation in a narrowing range, the stock broke higher. A positive daily momentum crossover adds to the technical case for a resumption of the prior trend, though the setup depends on the breakout holding.
The call specifies a buy at ₹1,664.50, a stop-loss at ₹1,620 and a target of ₹1,733. These are the analyst’s trade parameters, not a guarantee that the share will reach its target. A reversal below the stated stop would signal that the expected continuation is not playing out as planned.
HBL Engineering: support and a reversal pattern
HBL Engineering’s setup is based on a pullback within a broader advance. After rising from ₹700 to ₹840, the stock retraced to ₹755, described by Gedia as the 61.8% retracement level. It then formed a morning star candlestick pattern around the ₹755–₹740 support zone, alongside a positive momentum crossover. The analyst interprets these signals as a resumption of the uptrend.
The suggested trade is a buy at ₹811, with a stop-loss of ₹785 and a target of ₹875. The support area and stop-loss provide reference points for judging whether the rebound remains intact; a technical pattern can fail, particularly if the wider market’s recovery loses momentum.
