Diamond Power Infrastructure Bags Rs 116.49 Crore Orders

Diamond Power Infrastructure Secures Significant Orders for Power Cables

The latest orders position Diamond Power Infrastructure as a key player in Gujarat’s underground cabling projects.

Diamond Power Infrastructure has announced that it has secured orders worth ₹116.49 crore (including GST; ₹98.72 crore excluding GST) for the supply of 11 kV XLPE insulated medium voltage power cables. These orders were placed by a Gujarat-based EPC contractor engaged in underground cabling projects for state power distribution companies in the region.

Details of the Orders

The orders encompass approximately 655 kilometers of 11 kV three-core aluminium XLPE cables, with sizes ranging from 300, 240, 95, and 70 sq mm. These cables are intended for urban underground distribution projects in the Bhavnagar and Ahmedabad regions of Gujarat. The manufacturing of these cables will take place at Diamond Power’s integrated plant located near Vadodara, which sources aluminium from DICABS’ own rod mills.

Variable Pricing Structure

The orders are structured on a variable-price basis, meaning that the stated value serves as the base price, with final realizations tied to an applicable price-variation formula. This pricing mechanism is particularly relevant in the current economic climate, where fluctuations in raw material costs can significantly impact project budgets.

Implications for the Company

Securing these orders not only enhances Diamond Power’s revenue stream but also solidifies its position as a trusted supplier in the power infrastructure sector. The focus on underground cabling aligns with the broader trend of modernizing power distribution networks, which is crucial for urban development and reducing transmission losses. Furthermore, the successful execution of these projects could lead to additional contracts, enhancing the company’s growth trajectory.
