Three Chart Setups Put Coforge, ICICI Bank and KPR Mill on Traders’ Radar
The trade ideas hinge on distinct chart signals, with entry triggers and stop-loss levels defining the risk for each setup.
Choice Equity has outlined short- to medium-term technical setups in Coforge, ICICI Bank and KPR Mill. The calls use chart patterns, moving averages and momentum indicators, but two of the three recommendations require a move above specified levels before entry.
Coforge: breakout level is central to the trade
The recommendation is to buy Coforge in cash above ₹2,045, with a stop loss at ₹1,935 and a target of ₹2,250. That entry condition matters: the stock is consolidating around a resistance band of ₹2,000–2,045, so the proposed trade depends on a decisive move beyond the upper end rather than simply approaching it.
The technical case cites a recovery from recent lows, trading above key moving averages and a supportive Ichimoku Cloud setup. The RSI is around 67, which the brokerage describes as healthy bullish momentum without an extreme overbought reading. Strong volumes on a breakout could support the next advance, while the ₹1,935–1,890 area is identified as near-term support. A failure to hold support would weaken the positive chart view.
ICICI Bank: moving averages frame the downside
ICICI Bank was cited at ₹1,398, above its 50-day EMA of ₹1,375.90 and 200-day EMA of ₹1,365.60. Choice Equity identifies a bullish Pole & Flag pattern and recommends buying only on a sustained move above ₹1,410. The suggested stop loss is ₹1,365, with targets of ₹1,450 and ₹1,480.
The moving-average zone around ₹1,375–1,365 is presented as support. For traders, the distinction between a recovery above averages and confirmation above resistance is important: the brokerage’s projected upside depends on the latter, preferably with strong volumes. If the stock does not clear ₹1,410, the stated breakout condition has not been met.
KPR Mill: channel break and momentum signal
Unlike the two conditional breakout calls, the KPR Mill recommendation is to buy at current levels, cited at ₹1,115. The proposed stop loss is ₹1,070 and the target is ₹1,200. The technical rationale includes a breakout from a Falling Channel on the daily chart, accompanied by a noticeable rise in trading volumes.
The stock has also sustained above its 100-day EMA, while the MACD has registered a bullish crossover. Together, these signals suggest improving momentum in the brokerage’s assessment, though they do not remove the risk that a breakout may fail. The stop-loss level provides a stated reference for limiting downside if the trade moves against the view.
How to read the three recommendations
These are technical trading ideas, not assessments of company value or long-term business prospects. Their logic rests on price behaviour and chart indicators, and each target is a projection rather than a guaranteed outcome. Coforge and ICICI Bank have explicit upside triggers; KPR Mill’s recommendation is framed as an entry at the cited current level. Traders should therefore distinguish the setups rather than treat all three as identical buy signals.
The risk-reward of a trade can change if an entry is taken well away from the recommended level or if the share price moves sharply before the trade is placed. Stop losses are part of the published calls, but actual execution and slippage can affect outcomes. Investors should also avoid treating technical indicators as substitutes for their own assessment of risk tolerance and time horizon.
