Apollo Pipes Expands Footprint in Ceramics with Mazzini Tiles Acquisition

Apollo Pipes’ strategic acquisition of a majority stake in Mazzini Tiles marks a significant move in the competitive tiles and ceramics market.

Apollo Pipes has acquired a 76% stake in Mazzini Tiles for Rs 40.42 crore, aiming to enhance its tiles and ceramics business. This acquisition aligns with the company’s broader investment strategy to expand its product offerings in the building materials sector.

Strategic Acquisition to Boost Market Presence

Apollo Ceramics, a subsidiary of Apollo Pipes, has taken a significant step by acquiring a 76% controlling stake in Mazzini Tiles, a manufacturer specializing in polished glazed vitrified tiles (PGVT). This acquisition, valued at Rs 40.42 crore, is part of Apollo’s broader strategy to strengthen its position in the tiles and ceramics market, which is experiencing robust growth.

Mazzini Tiles operates a manufacturing facility in Morbi, Gujarat, with an impressive installed capacity of 72 lakh square meters per annum. The company reported a turnover of Rs 87.15 crore in FY26, indicating a solid operational base that Apollo Pipes aims to leverage. This acquisition not only enhances Apollo’s product portfolio but also provides access to Mazzini’s established distribution network and market presence.

Investment Plans and Growth Strategy

The acquisition is part of Apollo Pipes’ board-approved investment plan of up to Rs 300 crore aimed at expanding its tiles and ceramics business. The company plans to engage in various manufacturing activities, including contract manufacturing, trading, marketing, and distribution of tiles and ceramics. This strategic move is designed to enhance operational efficiency and capitalize on the growing demand for high-quality ceramic products.
