Gold and Silver Prices Surge Amid Rate-Hold Expectations
Lower-than-expected inflation data from the US bolsters gold and silver prices as market anticipates steady interest rates.
Market Reactions to US Inflation Data
The recent inflation data from the United States has played a pivotal role in shaping market expectations regarding the Federal Reserve’s monetary policy. With inflation figures coming in lower than anticipated, investors are increasingly confident that the Fed will maintain interest rates at their current levels during the upcoming October meeting. This sentiment has provided a significant boost to gold and silver prices, as lower interest rates typically enhance the appeal of precious metals, which do not yield interest.
