Juniper Hotels Eyes Strategic Growth with Rs 248 Crore Acquisition of Novotel Imagicaa

The acquisition of Novotel Imagicaa marks a significant step in Juniper Hotels’ strategy to expand its footprint in India’s hospitality sector.

Juniper Hotels has announced its proposal to acquire Novotel Imagicaa from Imagicaaworld Entertainment for Rs 248 crore. This acquisition aligns with Juniper’s long-term strategy to enhance its portfolio of premium hotels in key business and leisure destinations across India.

Strategic Location and Asset Value

Located in Khopoli, Maharashtra, Novotel Imagicaa spans approximately 11 acres and is strategically positioned near the bustling economic hubs of Mumbai and Pune. The hotel is easily accessible, with the airport just a two-hour drive away. Its proximity to the Imagicaa Theme Park and Water Park enhances its appeal as a leisure destination, making it a valuable asset for Juniper Hotels.

The hotel features a built-up area of around 280,000 square feet, comprising 287 guest rooms, a variety of dining options, and versatile banquet and meeting spaces. The inclusion of spa and recreational facilities further positions Novotel Imagicaa as a comprehensive hospitality offering, catering to both business and leisure travelers.

Juniper’s Growth Strategy

Arun Kumar Saraf, chairman and managing director of Juniper Hotels, emphasized the company’s commitment to purposeful growth and long-term value creation. He stated, “Novotel Imagicaa represents the kind of asset we look for. It is an established hospitality property with scale, a strong destination proposition, and multiple demand generators.” This acquisition is expected to bolster Juniper’s portfolio and enhance its market presence.

As the largest owner of Hyatt-affiliated hotels in India, Juniper Hotels is well-positioned to leverage its strategic partnership with Hyatt, a leading international hospitality brand. This partnership, combined with the Saraf group’s extensive experience in hotel development, underpins Juniper’s ambitious growth plans.
