Swaraj Engines Reports Strong Q2 Results, Shares Surge Amid Market Weakness

Swaraj Engines’ impressive quarterly performance has captured investor attention, leading to a significant surge in its share price.

Swaraj Engines has reported a robust increase in both net profit and revenue for the September quarter, demonstrating strong operational performance despite broader market challenges.

Share Price Surge Amid Market Weakness

Swaraj Engines shares jumped nearly 15% on Monday, defying a broader market downturn as the Nifty 50 index fell by 0.75%. The stock opened at ₹3,486.70 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and reached an intraday high of ₹3,949.50 before settling at ₹3,816, reflecting strong investor sentiment following the announcement of its quarterly results.

Strong Financial Performance in Q2

In its regulatory filing, Swaraj Engines reported a net profit of ₹60.57 crore for the second quarter of FY27, marking a 22% increase from ₹49.68 crore in the same period last year. This growth was supported by a 26% rise in revenue, which reached ₹635.19 crore compared to ₹504.04 crore in Q2FY26. The company’s operating profit also saw a significant increase, rising to ₹86.45 crore from ₹68.03 crore, reflecting a 27.1% year-on-year growth.

Sustained Demand Drives Growth

The company attributed its strong performance to sustained customer demand, with engine sales reaching 61,216 units during the quarter, up from 51,164 units in the corresponding quarter last year. For the first half of FY27, Swaraj Engines recorded total engine sales of 118,019 units, an 18% increase from 100,204 units in the same period of the previous fiscal year. This consistent growth underscores the company’s strong market position and operational efficiency.

Strategic Positioning within Mahindra & Mahindra

Swaraj Engines primarily supplies engines to the Swaraj Division of Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M), a key player in the agricultural machinery sector. This strategic alignment not only enhances Swaraj’s market visibility but also positions it favorably for future growth as M&M continues to expand its product offerings. The strong demand for agricultural machinery in India, driven by favorable monsoon conditions and increased investment in rural infrastructure, further supports Swaraj’s growth trajectory.
