Kanohar Electricals Soars 20%, Up 79% Since IPO in Three Weeks

Kanohar Electricals’ Stock Surge Reflects Strong Earnings and Growth Prospects

The remarkable rise in Kanohar Electricals’ share price underscores investor confidence in the company’s robust performance and future potential.

Kanohar Electricals has seen its share price soar by 20% to ₹1,129.35 on the BSE, marking a staggering 79% increase since its IPO just three weeks ago. The surge follows the company’s impressive Q1FY27 earnings report, which showcased significant growth in both revenue and profitability.

Strong Earnings Drive Stock Performance

Kanohar Electricals, a key player in India’s transformer manufacturing sector, reported a remarkable 140% year-on-year increase in profit after tax (PAT) for the quarter ending June 2026, reaching ₹27 crore compared to ₹11 crore in the same quarter last year. This impressive performance was complemented by a 104% surge in revenue from operations, which climbed to ₹137 crore from ₹67 crore, reflecting the company’s strong operational capabilities and market demand.

The company’s earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) margins also improved significantly, rising to 28.3% from 22.8%. Management attributed this growth to an increase in manufacturing output and a favorable product mix, particularly a higher contribution from the 400kV transformer segment, which accounted for 70% of Q1 revenue.

Robust Order Book and Future Prospects

As of the end of Q1FY27, Kanohar Electricals boasts an impressive order book of ₹2,026 crore, providing strong visibility for revenue generation over the next 18 to 24 months. The company added ₹332.30 crore in new orders during the quarter, reinforcing its growth trajectory. This substantial order backlog is expected to support the company’s revenue guidance of ₹950 crore for FY27.

The management is also focusing on expanding its capabilities in the high-voltage transformer segment, particularly the 765kV transformers. This strategic move is anticipated to enhance the company’s competitive edge and profitability, as it aims to secure meaningful orders in this technologically advanced segment.

Market Sentiment and Analyst Outlook

The recent surge in Kanohar Electricals’ stock is seen as justified by analysts, particularly given the strong Q1 results and the company’s strategic shift towards higher-voltage transformers. Prathamesh Kadival, a research analyst at Bonanza, highlighted that the transition to more complex products is a positive structural change, indicating a move away from mere volume-driven growth.

The upcoming Gangol brownfield expansion is expected to further enhance the company’s execution capacity, positioning it for sustained growth. However, analysts caution that the successful conversion of 765kV orders and the sustainability of margins will be critical for the company’s future re-rating in the market.
