Raymond Realty’s Strong Q2 Performance Sparks 6% Surge in Share Price
The real estate sector is witnessing renewed investor interest as Raymond Realty rebounds from a recent slump, driven by impressive quarterly results.
Robust Q2 Results Fuel Investor Confidence
Raymond Realty’s shares reached a high of ₹690 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), recovering from a 9% decline over the previous four sessions. The company’s pre-sales surged by an impressive 98% year-on-year, amounting to ₹902 crore, compared to ₹455 crore in the same quarter last year. This remarkable growth is attributed to sustained sales velocity and effective price realization within its existing portfolio.
The half-yearly figures also reflect a strong upward trend, with pre-sales reaching ₹1,602 crore, a 111% increase from ₹760 crore in the first half of the previous fiscal year. Additionally, collections rose by 67% year-on-year to ₹682 crore during the July-September period, further solidifying the company’s financial health.
Strategic Focus on Future Growth
Despite not launching any new projects during the quarter, Raymond Realty’s management remains optimistic about future growth. The company has outlined a strong pipeline of upcoming launches in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), with a cumulative Gross Development Value (GDV) exceeding ₹4,100 crore. This strategic focus aims to enhance their market position and achieve the pre-sales targets set for FY27.
Harmohan Sahni, the managing director and CEO, emphasized the importance of disciplined growth, stating, “We nearly doubled pre-sales this quarter without any new launches, supported by resilient sustenance sales and continued homebuyer confidence in our projects.” This approach not only aims to scale operational footprints but also aligns with the company’s objective of maintaining a healthy balance sheet.
Financial Health and Debt Management
Raymond Realty’s financial metrics indicate a robust position, with gross borrowings increasing by ₹125 crore to a total of ₹1,220 crore as of September 30, 2026. This capital has been strategically deployed to fund ongoing construction projects. The company maintains a net debt of ₹914 crore, supported by liquidity of ₹306 crore, ensuring a net debt-to-equity ratio well below the Board-approved ceiling of 1.0x.
Such prudent financial management is crucial as the company prepares to unlock key revenue milestones in the coming 12 to 18 months, positioning itself favorably in a competitive market.
